A fresh discovery was recently made on the western flank of the Hoover Dam, which we encourage you to see for yourself if you have the time and means.
The Hoover Dam, as we all know, is nothing out of the ordinary; it was erected in 1931 by the US Bureau of Reclamation, but a recent find there has turned quite a few heads, to say the least. Near the dam’s Monument Plaza corner, what looks to be a celestial map has been uncovered.
It dates back to roughly the Earth’s 25,772-year axial precession, but little more is known about it. Many people have previously assumed that because it is an axial precession, or the slowest cycle of the Long Now’s 10,000 Year Clock, it has something to do with that, but nothing more is known to the public at this time.
We know that the US Bureau of Reclamation contracted Oskar J.W. Hansen to build the Hoover Dam, but he did not build it personally.
We can’t really know anything else because there are no before and after photographs, unless someone knows something we don’t.
